What is DHA? Comparing Milk Formula for Ages 1 to 3 Years Old

What is Docosahexaenoic Acid (DHA)?

As one milk formula claims, it's a substance that contributes to a child's intelligence (IQ). And thus, it comes with a price.

Generally, milk formula brands with higher DHA values per 100g powder are more expensive. Our baby had been fed with two of what I consider the best formula DHA-wise, NAN HW and Enfapro A.

And now that she has turned one (1) year old, we have to shift her again to a follow-on formula.

Our options: NAN HW Three, Enfagrow A, Gain, Nido Jr., and Lactum, among others.

Upon checking the labels, I was surprised at how Nido Jr. fared well with the more expensive brands. The DHA content and other important nutrients are comparable, at almost half the price! I will be seeking the opinion of our daughter's Pediatrician on whether or not we could shift her to Nido Jr.
